Abstract
Prazdny[5] introduced a clever wrinkle into the debate on binocular stereo models suggesting that transparent random-dot stereograms would be difficult to solve using just coarse-scale information as would be the case for Marr and Poggio’s zero-crossing theory[1]. These transparent stereograms are, however, relatively easy for human subjects to see. Prazdny proposed an alternate approach which operated on the fine structure in the images.
