Abstract
Wave nature of matter attracts our great interests not only in a point of view of fundamental physics but also in the technology for the information processing. We now direct our attention to a quantum system of vibrational wavepacket of a diatomic molecule both in the point of views of the both fields. A vibrational wave packet at a time t, φ(R,t), is generally expressed as , where χv (R) is the v th vibrational wave function with respect to the internuclear distance of R, and ħωv is the eigen energy of v th vibrational state. In order to identify the vibrational packet, we have to determine the complex amplitude, av, of each vibrational state
