Abstract

Local surface plasmon resonances (LSPRs) in doped oxide semiconductor nanoparticles (NPs) have received interest for plasmonic nanomaterials in the near-infrared (NIR) range. Recent research has focused on the fundamental properties of LSPRs energy based on the static and dynamic control of free carriers. Additionally, it is important to study LSPRs in doped oxide semiconductor NPs from a practical point of view. In our work, we control near-field /plasmonic coupling between oxide semiconductor NPs in the NIR range. Recently, we found that oxide semiconductor NP sheets showed selective high reflectivity in the NIR, which is expected to be promising for developments of “Smart windows” because oxide semiconductors can dynamically manipulate free carriers by external fields. In the presentation, we, for the first time, report near-field/plasmonic coupling of oxide semiconductor NPs and their solar applications.
