Abstract
Hyperspectral camera (HSC), which detects spectrally resolved images, is used to investigate spectral characteristics such as that of plants and biomedical samples. Spectral characteristics of the transmitted component alone may not be enough to know the spectral characteristics of the sample. Therefore, it is effective to apply illumination light to the surface of a sample from both sides. Such an illumination can be realized by multiplexed illuminations with a group of light sources. However, when measuring under the same lighting environment, a single light source is preferable. In this paper, we propose methods to illuminate a region of interest (ROI) by use of a single light source with a retro-reflector.
