Abstract

Excitons are bound states of an electron and a hole through Coulomb interaction. Optical responses from low-dimensional systems, such as transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDs), is dominated by the excitonic effect even at room temperature, and exciton diffusion is one of the most important processes for understanding optical response of TMDs.
