Abstract
Public transportation facilities such as airports and high-speed train stations require a variety of security instruments to prevent terrorist attacks and injuries. Millimeter wave (MMW) and terahertz wave (THz) body scanners have been developed in the past, but higher throughput and faster inspections without stopping pedestrians are required. We have therefore developed a prototype unit of a THz wave-based body scanner for walk-through gates. In this presentation, we will give an overview of the prototype system and the results obtained.
