Enhancing Tensile Performance of Laser Powder Bed Fusion Stainless Steel Micro-struts Using Femtosecond Laser Micromachining

Abstract

Defect-free precision micromachining of highly rough laser powder bed fusion stainless steel micro-struts was achieved. As a result, the tensile ductility of the micro-struts increased from 54 ± 3% to 70 ± 2%.
