Fibered Laser Shock Peening: an opening for a widespread use of the process?

Abstract

Fibered Laser Shock Peening has been implemented thanks to a record-breaking fiber injection system allowing the transmission of 63MW in the nanosecond regime. Results obtained on aluminum and titanium are presented.
