Abstract

The purpose of this work is to develop real-time in situ capabilities for monitoring actinide (particularly plutonium and americium) concentrations in molten salt media. In this report, we discuss the state of the art Laser-Induced Atomic Emission (LIAE) apparatus which we have developed and report survey atomic emission spectra for solid samples of PuC13, AmO2, PuO2, and SRL waste glass.
