Abstract
Stimulated Raman scattering is conventionally studied in high-power and pulsed laser regimes. Continuous-wave (cw) Raman lasers have been realized but they have to operate near a molecular/atomic resonance utilizing the high Raman gain. The first non-resonant cw Raman laser was demonstrated by Brasseur, et al. in 1998 [1].
