Abstract
A diode laser based in situ absorption spectrometer is presented for the simultaneous detection of CO (1560nm), water (813nm) and the gas temperature within the combustion chamber of a 600MW lignite-fired power-plant. A fractional absorption resolution better than 10−3 equivalent to a few hundred ppmVCO could be demonstrated with a 30 sec time response.
