Fluorescence 3D-microscopy with 100 nm resolution

Abstract

Live cell fluorescence imaging of GFP labelled mitochondria of budding yeast cells using 4Pi-confocal microscopy is presented. This technique allows 3-5 times finer optical sectioning than confocal microscopy.
