Detection of HCl in a premixed H2/O2/Ar flame seeded with CHCl3 using mid-IR polarization spectroscopy

Abstract

Mid-infrared polarization spectroscopy was applied to detect HCl at trace level in an atmospheric pressure premixed H2/O2/Ar flame with chloroform seeding. Detection sensitivity and potential interference from water lines was investigated.
