Recent Progress in Mid-Infrared Quantum Cascade Lasers

Abstract

Quantum Cascade laser performance continues to increase rapidly based on new understanding of materials and interfaces, quantum designs, and optical cavities/waveguides. We review novel approaches to high power-efficiency, single-mode emission in coupled cavities, and applications.
