Broadband Mid-IR Standoff Spectroscopy of Explosives with a Femtosecond Optical Parametric Oscillator

Abstract

We describe a 2.6 – 4.0 µm broadband tunable MIR source based on optical parametric oscillation (OPO). Utilizing this source, we investigate the signatures of solid trace explosives at a standoff distance of 3 m.
