Abstract

Active waveguides fabricated in GeO2-PbO-Ga2O3 (GPG) glasses using direct femtosecond laser (at 800 nm, 1 kHz, 130 fs) writing is demonstrated. Peak internal gain of 2.7dB/cm is obtained at 1535 nm.
