GbE Media Converter Topology for a 1.25 Gbps RSOA-based WDM-PON Transceiver

Abstract

We present a cost-effective C-band 1.25 Gbps RSOA-based colorless WDM-PON transceiver evaluating a 1GbE full duplex media converter topology. Bidirectional transmission of 1GbE packets is demonstrated over 40 km.
