Abstract

George Stegeman was a great Science and Education promoter, but a feature not so well known is his whereabouts and interest in Latin America. George was the Science Adviser for many of us and the students champion, that open many opportunities for them. George was a regular coorganizer of Mexican Optics schools and a regular speaker, but above all behind the scenes Latin American supporter.
