Characterization of Fast Dispersion Fluctuations in Optical Fibers by Using Incoherently Pumped Four-Wave Mixing

Abstract

We analyze longitudinal dispersion fluctuation of optical fibers by means of four-wave mixing experiments between an incoherent-pump and a laser. A stochastic model is presented, that is the spatial analog of fast fluctuations in spectroscopy.
