Modal Content in a 7-cell Hollow-Core Photonic Bandgap Fiber and its Dependence with Offset Launch Conditions

Abstract

We have characterized the high-order mode content in a 7-cell hollow-core photonic bandgap fiber using an interferometric technique, obtaining beating amplitude of −13.3 dB for center launch and −5.1 dB for 8 µm offset.
