106 & 112 Gb/s Transmission with an Imperfect Linear PAM4 Signal

Abstract

We experimentally demonstrate 106 and 112 Gb/s PAM4 transmission and measure the penalty from a nonlinear modulator (Mach-Zehnder Modulator, MZM). In addition, we show this measured penalty matches with a theoretical prediction.
