Broadband two-pump parametric amplifier in engineered dispersion tellurite waveguides

Abstract

A tellurite spiral waveguide is analytically designed to provide parametric amplification. Simulation results suggest the designed ~4 mm2 structure may amplify 160 channels, spaced by 50 GHz, with bit error rates lower than 10−12.
