Abstract

A novel torsion fiber sensor is proposed. It works with a Mach Zehnder interferometer (MZI) spliced to a cladding pumped ytterbium-doped fiber laser. A sensitivity of 10pm/0 degree and with a SNR of 25dB was obtained.
