Abstract

Fiber optic pH sensor based on the multimodal interference effect, coated with a PVA-thin-film doped with bromophenol blue, shows increased RI-sensitivity as high as 20×10−3 and 9×10−3 nm/RIU in the pH range of 2.0–5.0.
