Conditions for optical parametric oscillation under structured light pump

Abstract

We investigate the down-conversion of the signal and idler transverse modes when pumped with a high-order paraxial mode in a optical parametric oscillator. We extract some constraints from the coupling constant describing the nonlinear interaction, which are verified experimentally.
