Making Light Work for Doctors; Fluorescent Lifetime Imaging in the living human lung

Abstract

Using new coherent optical fibre bundles linked to a novel optical scan head and a unique fluorescent lifetime detector, fluorescent lifetime images have been recorded from a range of tissue including the human lung.
