Spatial self-phase modulation of optical vortex beams in liquid suspensions of 2D materials and organic solvents

Abstract

We investigate the physical mechanism responsible for spatial self-phase modulation of optical vortex beams after interaction with suspensions of 2D transition metal dichalco-genides and organic solvents in different spectral regions, showing its origin is thermal.
