FBG sensors for temperature measurement in cell cultures used in the study of hyperthermia treatments

Abstract

In this work we propose the use of Optical Fiber Bragg Gratings (FBGs), due to their electromagnetic immunity, to monitor the temperature in tumor cell cultures exposed to microwave radiation for their application in hyperthermia treatments.
