Material Modifications with Ultrafast Bessel Beams

Abstract

Ultrafast Bessel beams produced by axicon focusing have a long collimation length that is advantageous for laser micromachining. We have used these beams to fabricate optical waveguides and microfluidic channels in transparent glass.
