Image Processing using Nonlinear Transmission

Abstract

We demonstrated novel all-optical self-adaptive continuous band-pass spatial filtering system which exploits any nonlinear transmission mechanism. As intensity is increased above threshold, low spatial frequencies are blocked resulting in edge-enhanced images containing high spatial frequencies.
