Brownian Motion of an Ellipsoid

Abstract

We measured the Brownian motion of isolated ellipsoidal particles with video microscopy. Non-Gaussian statistics, anisotropic to isotropic diffusion and translation-rotation coupling were observed for the first time and understood in theory and simulations.
