Optical Frequency Comb Generation in HNLF Cavities

Abstract

A 150-nm bandwidth frequency comb at 1.5 µm with tailorable mode spacing is generated with a cw-pumped, 5-cm-long highly nonlinear fiber cavity. Small mode volume and modest cavity Q create a comb with both THz and GHz spacings.
