Abstract
PRL's goal is to publish short and readable physics articles of importance and broad interest. Soon after its beginning this goal became synonymous with prestige and recognition for authors, and with keeping abreast of the latest in physics for readers. In this presentation I will cover the current status of the journal and discuss the factors that determine a journal's success, leading to new ideas on how to keep PRL at the forefront of physics publication.
