High-Efficiency Optical Quantum State Engineering

Abstract

We discuss a novel method of efficiently producing multi-photon states using repeated spontaneous parametric downconversion. By attempting downconversion several times, we can pseudo-deterministically add photons to a mode, producing various several-photon states.
