Volume Phase Plates for Optical Beam Control

Abstract

Permanent binary phase plates with high tolerance to laser radiation are recorded in the volume of photo-thermo-refractive glass using binary amplitude masks. Conversion of a Gaussian beam to higher order modes is shown.
