Abstract

We investigated the spontaneous behavior of an Erbium-doped-fiber-laser synchronously and asynchronously mode-locked operating at 10GHz. We observed that the central wavelength shifts to a lower one. This knowledge is necessary to achieve the mode-locking stabilization.
