Highly Circularly-polarized high-harmonics from atoms

Abstract

We propose a method for significantly upshifting the frequency of a circularly-polarized visible/ultraviolet light, obtaining highly circularly-polarized extreme-ultraviolet radiation, utilizing a strong linearly-polarized perpendicularly-propagating pulse in atomic media.
