Inelastic scattering of particles by spherical microcavities as an experimental test of non-conservative quasi-gradient optical forces

Abstract

It is shown theoretically that observation of inelastic scattering of a subwavelength particle interacting with modes of a whispering-gallery-mode resonator can be used for experimental verification of non-conservative nature of the quasi-gradient optical force.
