Bright Squeezed Vacuum: Towards Lossless Mode Selection

Abstract

We test narrowband filtering of bright squeezed vacuum by observation of its single-mode statistics while the state remains macroscopic. Furthermore we attempt lossless single-mode selection and discuss the validity of the Schmidt mode decomposition approach.
