Direct Observation of Enhanced Ionization in CO

Abstract

In pump-probe experiments with CO, an enhancement was observed in a slow C++O+ channel at a 45 fs delay accompanied by a coincidental depletion in the C+O+ channel, indicating a direct observation of enhanced ionization.
