Blue-Shifted Optical Gain of Unstrained Graded Quantum Well Laser

Abstract

We have calculated the optical gain spectra in unstrained graded GaAs/AlxGa1-xAs quantum well lasers. The optical peak gain is sensitive to the graded profile, and is blue-shifted as a function of the interface width.
