Nonlinear Optics at the Few Photon Level

Open Access Open Access

Abstract

Through use of Rubidium-filled photonic band-gap fibers, nonlinear optics at the few-photon level is achieved through either cross-phase or cross-absorption modulation. This indicates that our system can be applied to weak-nonlinearity based quantum computing.
