Optically Levitated Nanoparticles for Sensing Applications

Abstract

We study the frequency stability of an optically trapped particle in high vacuum. By using feedback cooling, we mitigate the main frequency noise source. Thereby paving the way for employing optically levitated nanoparticles in sensing.
