Superfluid Circuits of Ultracold Atoms

Abstract

Using optical trapping and manipulation techniques, we have created “circuits” of ultracold atomic gases, and demonstrated basic functionality that is analogous to the operation of superconducting quantum interference devices (SQUIDs) and superfluid helium gyroscopes.
