Bioimaging and Quantum Sensing Using Nitrogen-Vacancy Centers in Nanodiamonds

Abstract

Fluorescent nanodiamonds containing a high-density ensemble of negatively charged nitrogen-vacancy centers are useful as photostable contrast agents for in vitro and in vivo imaging as well as high-sensitivity quantum sensors for nanoscale thermometry.
