Influence of phosphor self-heating on half-dome-phosphor packaged pc-WLED output performance

Abstract

Simulations using ray-tracing and FEA are done on estimating the temperature distribution in a half-dome-phosphor pc-WLED. The phosphor temperature is always higher than the LED chip. An experiment validated and showed the influence is non-negligible.
