Abstract

Nano-volume temperature rise around optical trap is measured by exploiting non radiative relaxation in solvents. Co-propagating 1560 nm femtosecond laser pulses change solvent temperature and viscosity while trap-stiffness is unaffected during 780 nm trapping.
