Abstract

Here the strain characteristics of a hybrid graphene-microfiber waveguide structure is first investigated. By in-line loading strain, we can achieve modulating transmission of the device as high as 30% with ~5% strain. The platform may shed light on all-in fiber tuning graphene’s optical conductivity.
