Self-similar Propagation in a Dispersion Managed and Highly Nonlinear Segmented Bandgap Fiber in the mid-IR

Abstract

Rapidly varying but of nearly-mean-zero longitudinal dispersion profile has been adopted to achieve self-similar propagation of parabolic optical pulses through a chalcogenide glass based and segmented highly-nonlinear bandgap optical fiber at 2.8 µm.
