Coherent Polariton Lasing in a Designable Microcavity

Abstract

Using a designable cavity to control the polariton modes, we demonstrate a single-mode polariton laser with Poisson intensity noise and intrinsic phase coherence. Strong interactions within the polariton condensate manifest in Gaussian dephasing at high condensate densities.
